Join the Bender JCC and BBYO for an informative and empowering conversation designed for parents of pre-teens and teens to address the urgent realities of today’s digital landscape. We’ll discuss how to recognize online red flags, set healthy boundaries with your child, and better understand the real impact and risk of cyberbullying and digital exploitation. Walk away with practical tools and greater confidence to support your child’s safety and emotional well-being in a connected world. This program is best suited for parents and caregivers. Meet Our Speakers And Moderators

Dr. Adam Pletter is a clinical psychologist who speaks internationally on how technology is reshaping child development, parenting, and mental health. He is the founder of iParent101 and has spent decades advising families, schools, and organizations on helping children build healthier relationships with the digital world. 

As a mother to three children, teacher, certified school counselor, parent educator, certified facilitator in The Neufeld Institute, and certified parent coach, Meghan has been an working with parents and children almost 30 years. In addition to coaching and speaking, Meghan is also a columnist for The Washington Post. 

In her spare time, Meghan loves music, yoga, comedy, anything on Bravo, reading, and doing anything by the ocean. 

Drew Fidler, LCSW-C, is dedicated to making youth-serving organizations safer and healthier for adolescents. As the Senior Director of the BBYO Center for Adolescent Wellness, she helps create environments where youth can thrive. With a background in forensic interviewing, child protection, and mental health advocacy, Drew has trained thousands of professionals on best practices for youth safety and well-being. Passionate about equipping organizations with the tools to support young people, she brings expertise, compassion, and a deep commitment to adolescent wellness. 

Caren Schiffman has devoted her legal career to protecting children and advancing justice for victims. She serves as an Assistant Attorney General for the District of Columbia where she leads training, community outreach, policy, and legislative initiatives on the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children team. She also chairs the Policy and Legislation Subcommittee of the D.C. Human Trafficking Task Force and founded the Child Exploitation Workshop of the Regional Interdisciplinary Collaborative. 

Previously, as Senior Counsel in the Child Welfare Unit of the City of Philadelphia Law Department, Ms. Schiffman litigated thousands of child abuse and neglect cases, advised the client on risk mitigation and legal compliance, and managed its internal training program. 

Along with her public service, Ms. Schiffman brings extensive experience advising nonprofits, law firms, and corporations on communications, marketing, and business development strategies. She is a graduate of Temple University Beasley School of Law and Ithaca College.
