Steve Gittleson, who grew up playing various sports with great enthusiasm, decided at age sixteen to devote his energy to tennis. As a result, he twice received All Met selection (Winston Churchill High School/Potomac, Maryland), was a three-time collegiate All-American (Emory University/Atlanta, Georgia), and was inducted into the Sports Hall of Fame at both institutions. Gittleson has competed and coached throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, South America and the Middle East. He is certified by the United States Professional Tennis Association as a Professional One, and as a High Performance Coach by United States Tennis Association.
