Charles Brotman
Charles Brotman, renowned announcer and nationally-respected promoter and publicist of professional athletes, sports teams and sporting events, has been a sports enthusiast since childhood. He captained the McKinley Tech High School basketball team and played for several amateur championship sports teams, before inaugurating his career in radio and TV. Affectionately known as “Mr. Sports” and “The President’s Announcer,” Charlie has announced numerous stadium and arena sporting events around the country and has been the official parade announcer for the 9 Presidential Inaugural Parades held in Washington D.C. since 1957. For over 25 years, he has headed his own D.C.-based public relations firm, representing such well-known clients as the Washington Senators, the Washington Redskins, Sugar Ray Leonard, PGA and LPGA Tour Championships and the men’s and women’s professional tennis tournament.
