Jack “Jakie” Goldblatt, DDS

Goldblatt was an exceptional high school basketball player who began his playing career at the Jewish Community Center in Washington, D.C. He was captain of the team and unanimously selected as All-High the year McKinley Tech High School won the public school championship. In the 1930s he played semi-pro basketball while attending Georgetown Dental School. He was chosen by sports writers in the area to be on the All-Time, All-High basketball team for the Washington, D.C. area. Goldblatt was also selected by B’nai B’rith to be the outstanding high school basketball player of his time.
