At the height of his career, Goldman was ranked 29th in the United States in the sport of tennis. He was the Middle Atlantic Junior Champion in 1962 and the Men’s Champion in 1972. Goldman was Captain and the number one player for his Georgetown University team. Amazingly, he lost only three matches throughout his college career. Goldman was a two-time winner of the Eastern Intercollegiate Championships and won gold medals for men’s doubles in the 1965 and 1969 Maccabi games.
