Daniel M. Snyder

A native Washingtonian, Daniel M. Snyder fulfilled a lifelong dream when he became the youngest owner in the NFL at the age of 34 when the group he spearheaded paid $800 million-the highest price ever paid for any U.S. sports franchise to obtain the WashingtonRedskins. Under his ownership, the Washington Redskins are the most profitable team in the league. For the fourth consecutive year, in 2004, the Washington Redskins set an all-time NFL regular-season home paid attendance record with a total of 667,033 persons for eight games. Washington also led the league in paid attendance home and away during the regular season with 1,220,724 persons. In Spring 2000, Mr. Snyder founded the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation, the team’s non-profit foundation, and its leadership council. The mission of the Foundation is to be a voice that raises awareness of issues influencing youth in the region and to utilize the unique assets of the Washington Redskins organization and its corporate and community partners to achieve measurable results that improve communities.
