A native of Washington, D. C., Solomon is the winner of 24 Grand Prix championships and a five-time member of U.S. Davis Cup teams. Ranked as one of the world’s top ten players in 1976, 1977,1979, and 1980, he served as President of the Association of Tennis Professionals from 1979-1981. A leader off the court as well as on, Solomon devotes time and energy to eliminating the problems of hunger and starvation. He is Chairman of “End World Hunger,” an organization that teaches people how to grow food and increase their self-sufficiency.
