CoA Programs (Coming of Age in Maryland) offers monthly activities, excursions, and special events to members aged 50 and over. Activities include theatre and museum trips, lectures, concerts, and annual signature events such as a Wellness Expo, Health and Harvest Fair, an international trip, and an NYC overnight excursion.Opportunities abound for socializing, learning, and entertainment. We hope you’ll join us to make friends and enjoy new experiences, including:
- Free CoA membership
- Bi-monthly Cinema J Film Screenings at both the JCC and Leisure World
- “Food ‘n’ Fun”: Bi-monthly Coffeehouse with live music
- Social work support from our partner, JSSA
- Transportation provided for excursions with two pick-up sites: Bender JCC and Leisure World
- Free monthly Sip & Share women’s gatherings (1st and 3rd Monday of every month)

Join us for an intimate conversation between award-winning cookbook author Joan Nathan and NY Times opinion editor and writer Sarah Wildman. Learn about the powerful connections between food and family, and the ways in which our ancestry, travels, and even our friends influence the recipes we share! In addition to her new memoir My Life in Recipes we are thrilled to announce her newest cookbook for children and their families, A Sweet Year will be released on November 19th.
Following the conversation, there will be an audience Q&A and Dessert Reception where you’ll have an opportunity to meet Joan Nathan face-to-face. Enjoy a rugalach while you wait to have your books signed, both of which will be available for purchase that evening. We hope you will join us for this not-to-be-missed intergenerational event!

This uplifting documentary takes us on a magical journey from the streets of Mumbai to the stages of New York. International Holocaust Remembrance Day Concert

The State of Israel initiated Resolution 60/7 in the UN, to remember and honor the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau. In November 2005 International Holocaust Remembrance Day was established.
We commemorate this day with a concert, featuring the beautiful music of the Iris Music Trio and vocalist, Frieda Enoch. Music is a powerful expression of emotions and experiences, and unites, strengthens and inspires us! We look toward a bright future filled with love, humor and hope, but we will always remember…!’
