Golf became Michael’s focus and passion since he started playing at the age of six. While attending college, Michael played on two teams. Montgomery College was his first stop, where his team won the National Junior College Division 3 Championship. His next stop was UMBC where he won a few events, leading him to play in some of the bigger national amateur events such as the Western Amateur and Northern Amateur. Upon graduating from UMBC in 1993, Michael pursued a professional golf career for a few years on the Tommy Armour Tour before starting in the mortgage industry.

Michael won the Lakewood Country Club Championship six times. Since moving to Woodmont Country Club, he has won the Senior Club Championship twice.

Michael currently works as a mortgage banker for Truist Bank. He and his wife Michelle have been married for 23 years and have two sons, Ari and Norman.
