A Community Dialogue Through Art
Gallery Opening Reception: March 9 | 12:00 – 3:00 PM – Open To All
Chairs hold space for conversation, reflection, and connection. Pull Up a Chair 3.0: A Seated Perspective is a unique artistic project featuring 13 visual artists, including curator and artist Sandra D. Davis. Each artist has transformed a single chair or a pair into a thought-provoking statement, addressing themes that impact our daily lives and communities.
This exhibition encourages dialogue on social and political issues, gender, ableism, spirituality, grief, anxiety, personal challenges, medication management, therapy, hardships, housing, and financial struggles. By placing these themes in a tangible, interactive format, the project fosters meaningful conversations within our diverse communities.
Through this third iteration of Pull Up a Chair, we continue to explore how art can serve as a bridge between personal experiences and collective understanding. We invite you to take a seat, engage, and reflect on the perspectives shared within these works.
