Ali Berlin Weinstein

Representing the JCC of Greater Washington, Ali Weinstein won a gold medal in basketball at the North American Maccabi games.  At Churchill High School, she played three sports, lettered 11 times, captained four teams, and earned All-County and All-Met honors. After receiving the Hyman M. and Phillip D. Perlo Sports Award, Weinstein played Division I basketball and softball for Lafayette College (1995-1999). Weinstein was named basketball captain, team MVP, and Second Team All-Patriot League. Twice a Jewish Sports Review’s first team All-America Basketball Team member, she was also a softball All-America  Scholar Athlete. Weinstein captained ·the USA basketball team at the 16th Maccabiah in Israel and currently  performs  doctoral  research on the effects of exercise on mood.
