Originally from Montreal, Canada, Wolfe began his hockey career at Sir George Williams University. While at the university, Wolfe was named Rookie of the Year in 1970, Outstanding College Goaltender and Athlete of the Year in 197 3, and in 1984 was inducted into the university’s honor roll. In 1975, Wolfe joined the Washington Capitals as goaltender. During his four-year career with the Capitals, Wolfe was named Most Valuable Player. Today, Wolfe continues to play a role in Washington area sports as President of the Washington Capitals Alumni Association.
