Earl Foreman is a distinguished attorney in the Washington Metropolitan Area. He has held a substantial ownership interest in the Philadelphia Eagles. Foreman, as co-owner of the Baltimore Bullets, served as the club’s Governor on the NBA’s Board from 1964-1968. In 1969 he purchased the Oakland Oaks of the ABA and moved them to Washington where they played as the Washington Capitols and subsequently to Virginia where they were the Virginia Squires. He was a co-founder of the United Soccer League and owner of the Washington Whips, the District’s first major professional soccer team. He was also the co-founder of Major Indoor Soccer League and served as it’s commissioner for ten years.
