Mike Richman
Mike Richman is a veteran journalist who has authored four books: George Allen: A Football Life; The Redskins Encyclopedia; Washington Redskins Football Vault; and Joe Gibbs: An Enduring Legacy.
Mike has written thousands of feature and news articles, showing a flair for telling compelling human interest stories, as well as press releases, background papers and speeches. His articles have focused on a myriad of topics and have appeared in major publications including The Washington Post, The Washington Times, The Baltimore Sun and Sports Illustrated, and wire services such as the Associated Press, United Press International and Bloomberg Business News. He’s also written and voiced scripts for television and radio broadcast; hosted a radio podcast that aired on an ESPN affiliate; and interviewed many notable people, including U.S. Senator and POW John McCain, legendary news anchor Walter Cronkite, astronaut Buzz Aldrin, and star NFL quarterbacks Joe Namath, Joe Theismann, Sonny Jurgensen and Roger Staubach.
For his journalistic accomplishments, Mike was inducted in 2013 into the Gallery of Success at Temple University, where he earned a master’s degree.
Mike has also worked in communication roles for the Voice of America and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, where he’s won VA feature writing awards and National Association of Government Communicators awards, including one for creating a web page that houses his recorded promos on veterans’ benefits.
