Steven Lamb is being honored for his outstanding accomplishments in track and field. He had the fastest high school 440 time in the state of Maryland in 1961 (49.5), and was the 1964-65 Atlantic Coast 440 yard champion and record holder (47.2). His 20.9 clocking for the 200 was the fastest collegiate time in -the state of Maryland in 1963. In 1965 Lamb represented the United States in the Maccabi Games where he won a gold medal in the 1600 meter relay in record setting time and two bronze medals. After receiving his MBA in 1967 he did his military duty with the Coast Guard and was the 1967 All-Military 100 and 200 meter champion. Lamb has the fifth all-time best performance for a Jewish athlete for the 400 meters.
