Wolf began covering local news and sports in his native Washington in 1961, then went on to national prominence covering major sports events for WTOP-TV in Washington, D.C., WABC-TV and WCBS-TV in New York, and ABC Sports. In 1992, Wolf was enthusiastically welcomed back to Washington as sportscaster for WUSA-TV. The originator of such now-famous phrases as “let’s go to videotape” and “the boo of the week,” Wolf has brought to sports broadcasting a new level of high-energy personality, sheer fun, and thorough professionalism.
